Founded in 2002, by Joel Paterson, Primary Target Media (formerly CDP Web Solutions) began as a web development company, specializing in custom web design for companies throughout Windsor, Ontario and the surrounding area.
As the internet continued to evolve, so did the services offered at Primary Target Media. With extensive experience in both web design and search engine optimization, Joel began to utilize his programming experience to develop web-based applications, that facilitate the way marketing is done online.
"I was taught the ropes of small business at a young age, from my long time mentor (and first/only boss). So, when I was twenty, I started this business... and to be honest, there weren't any fancy business plans or big goals/projections... all of that didn't come until later. Looking back, I guess my answer is a common one; I believe I was simply fortunate enough to recognize an opportunity. I would have to say my biggest hurdle to date, came in the beginning. Sitting in on meetings with successful business people, as a 'kid' trying to prove himself, really took its toll. Nearly nine years later, those humbling and valuable experiences are what keep me striving to improve both myself, as well as my business".

In 2005, email marketing was added to the arsenal at Primary Target Media, and has since become the most popular service offered by the interactive firm, delivering on average approx. 80,000 emails per day, on behalf of their clients.
As of 2010, Primary Target Media now stretches across the globe, serving clients in five continents including: North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
